Business and Marketing New Teacher Orientation

This orientation provides new teachers with resources and training to successfully enter their first school year. Discover how to implement a quality CTE program while increasing student retention and achievement. The workshop includes:
- In-depth course content review
- Ready-to-use curriculum and lesson plans
- Classroom management techniques
- Resources for the classroom
- Getting to know Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO)
Developing a Quality CTE Practicum

Learn successful strategies to teach the work-based learning method (formally called cooperative method) in Office Education. This six-hour session covers TEA requirements to successfully manage:
- Student Placement
- Training plans
- Site visitation
- Student intern evaluations
- Other work-based learning management techniques
ATC Training
The state approved professional development for the Advanced Technical Credit (ATC) program consists of two training sessions: Part I and Part II. Part I is a general overview of the ATC program, is required of teachers to be ATC certified and is available online here. Part I must be completed prior to Part II, which is course specific. This training meets requirements for ATC Training Part II.
Registration for the ATC Training, Part II is separate from conference registration.
